Mrs. Home proposes leaving on a visit to the Old Country about the middle of next month. llrs. L. Webster is acting hostess to an afternoon tea, to be given m the Kia Ora tea-rooms this afternoon in honor of Mrs. Bennett.
Last Tuesday tho High School Old Girls field the iirst of a series of ,social evenings at the flirts' High School, ami quite a "oilv time was spoilt. Songs were rendered by Misses if. Thomson and A. Cocker, Miss Perry presiding at the piano, -and the competition prize was won by Miss Cocker. Amongst those present were: Misses Grant, Drew, Cross, Livingstone, Dcinpsev, Clarke, Brewster, Ji.
