L' Ententel Cordiaie
BRITISH ROYALTIES FETED IN
FRANCE.
BRILLIANT REVIEW AT VINCENNES
By Cable—Press Association-rCopyrighi
Paris, April 22,
French newspapers consider that the King's speech expressed in th; clearest, terms the unshakable solidity o: the entente, which will resist all tests in the future. No nation can take umbrage at the celebration of the entente, which threatens nobody. The King received M. Isvolsky, the Russian Ambassador to France, and also deputations from the British community in Paris. He accepted from the British colony at Alaisons Lafilte a beautiful model of a racehorse ridden by a j»ekey.
The review'at Vinccnnes was a brilliant success.
London, April 22.
Renter's Paris correspondent telegraphs that with respect to the conversaI tions between Sir E. (Jrcy and the French Foreign Minister there was no question of any formal Anglo-French agreement. Relations were already well and firmly established on the basis of a cordial mutual understanding. Though no amplification of the existing relations is likely a clearer definition may be expected. Doubtless the New Hebrides question will be discussed.
AN ALLIANCE IMPOSSIBLE. Paris, April 22. M. Clemence.au, in his paper L'Hommc Libre, recognises the impossibility of an alliance between France and England at present. He says it will suffice if in the event of aggression on the part of the Triple Alliance, each of the three defensive Powers is in a position to maTte an effort corresponding to that of its two partners.
