The Js>w Zealand Cricket Council's explanation with regard to the payment of os a day to members of the team which toured Australia was considered and the following motion carried: "This committee considers the Council's explanation extremely unsatisfactory, and reiterates the protest against the council deliberately keeping the affiliated associations in ignorance of the increased liabilities for which they had arranged, more particularly as this Association had already expressed to the Council its opinion that players -making the tour should themselves be asked to contribute towards the expenses; further, that this Association considers rule II) of the Council's rules has no bearing on the question of the allowance made to players."
