IN THE OUKL'ON COUNTY.

ARRIVES AT WAITARA TO N IGIIT,

This evening, the Hon. W. Fraser, Minister of Public Works, will arrive i-t Waitara and will make a flying toutthrough the Clifton county to Awakino. The programme so far arranged is as follows:—The Minister, on arrival at Waitara, will be met and welcomed by the mayor of Waitara, the chairman and members of the Clifton Coimtv Council, and representatives of the Waitara Chamber of Commerce.

On Wednesday morning the party will leave by car for Awakino. The Minister will be met by deputations at Urufci. Okau road, Tongaporutu, and Mokuu. At the Okau road, a ICotare deputation will also be present. In the evening the party will be banquetted at Awakino. On Thursday morning, the party will return direct to Waitara, and in the afternoon, if it can be arranged, they will proceed along tile Otaraoa road as far as the tunnel, where a Tarata deputation will be met. Oil Thursday evening a banquet is to be tendered tile Minister at llrenui, and it is expected that his will be largely attended by representee men from all parts' of the district.
