He a!-;> i:.is in hand the formation of a company of entertainers to tour the province for the purpose of financing a cadet drum and fife band for each centra. Open-air concerts will be given in all the principal towns of Taranaki, tile proceeds of eacli to go towards the establishment of a band in that particular centre. The suggestion has been made that the first concert should lie given in New Plymouth on the evening of Sir lan Hamilton's visit. A Taranaki gentleman who is interested in the work has volunteered to pay all the expenses of the tour.
