SENIOR CADETS.
SIR lAX HAMILTON'S VISIT. A REHEARSAL PARADE. Tlio senior cadets of Taranaki are tousily preparing for Uie in rei'tion parade on May 20, at %vli' i'l (U m-rul Sir lan Hamilton will be present. On, the ratecourse on Saturday the* Xew Plymouth cadets were 'being actively drilled under the inspection, of Slovens. Quartermaster-Scrgt. Dallinger was in Xew Plymouth at the week-end, making arrangements for the commissariat in connection with the ' parade, at which cadets from all ovi Hie province will be present. He a!-;> i:.is in hand the formation of a company of entertainers to tour the province for the purpose of financing a cadet drum and fife band for each centra. Open-air concerts will be given in all the principal towns of Taranaki, tile proceeds of eacli to go towards the establishment of a band in that particular centre. The suggestion has been made that the first concert should lie given in New Plymouth on the evening of Sir lan Hamilton's visit. A Taranaki gentleman who is interested in the work has volunteered to pay all the expenses of the tour.
