HOCKEY

ANNUAL MEETING OF STRATFORD CLUB. The annual meeting of the Stratford Hockey Club was held on Friday evening, Mr. 11. I}. Hill presiding over a good attendance of members. The following officers were elected: —Patron, Mr J. B. lline, M.P.; president, Mr. P. Thomson; vice-presidents, Madame Bernard, Messrs E. Jackson, C. Jackson, G. N. Curtis, Fred. Whittle and W. P. Kirkwood; management committee, Messrs 11. D. Hill, M. Sergeant, L. Curtis, Thomson, F. Clemow and W. Lawitencc; selection committee, Messrs Hill and Curtis; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. Wheeler. It was decided to purchase a set' of jerseys for the club and also to enter a seveii-a-nde team for the tournament to be hi-ld at Kaponga on Thursday. A vote of thanks to the chair and to Messrs C. and E. Jackson for their generosity in allowing the club to use their rooms wa, carried, ami the meeting concluded.
