«m» A TERRIBLE FAMILY TRAGEDY. By Cable—Press Association--Copyright Sydney, April 17. A tragedy lias occurred at Yass, Robert Reiily, aged 65, evidently suddenly developed insanity. He struck his wife, who was packing clothes, on the back of the head with an axe and afterwards cut her throat with a knife. He subsequently cut bis own throat. Both are dead. The murder was witnessed by his nine-year-old granddaughter. Rcidy was inclined to be peculiar, and was continually indulging in prayer.
