STRIKE BREAKERS' MEDALS.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Hamilton, Yesterday. Yesterday a monster picnic, attended by 5000 persons, was held at the Ruakura State Farm, in recognition of the services rendered by the special constables to the Auckland farming communityduring the strike. The Hons. Mas»ct and Hemes, and Mr. R. F. Bollard, M.R., were amongst those present. Bronze medals, provided by the Auckland Citizens' League, were presented to those who took part in keeping the flag flying. The Premier, in making tlis presentation, said that the Government took the only stand possible. Each medal had engraved upon it a horseman, tlie Auckland city arms, and the name of the recipient.
