SUMMARY AND FORECAST.

Wellington, Last Night. liie weather bureau issues its sumnry and forecast as follows:-
Summary.—A westerly disturbance still continues to dominate weather conditions. Gloomy weather has prevailed, with heavy rain in many parts, and snow has fallen on higher levels in the south. Forecast.—Present indication are for strong 'westerly winds, changing soon to a southerly gale. Expect cold- and stormy conditions, with heavy rain and snow on the higher level*. The barometer will probably fall in a few hours in the north, but will rise fast in the south.
