Although weather conditions were not favorable to brilliant play, the green being on the heav_V side, yet some interesting and exciting heads were in evidence in this match, which was played on Saturday afternoon. As will be ■ seen by the scores, Fitzroy defeated St. Johns in three rinks out of four. The visitors were entertained at afternoon tea, and expressed themselves well pleased with tjieir afternoon's entertainment. Before play commenced the president of St. John's Club thanked the Fitzroy bowlers for the invitation to be present and called for three cheers for Fitzroy, these being heartily given.
