To the Editor. Sir.—Will you let your readers know of the daylight robbery that is in store for us again at oar annual camp. When we arrive at the. camp at night after a day's outing it's alright. Wc have tea, bul!y-becf to gnaw at, but that is not enough to fill up on .Then one thinks one might like a wee bit o' supper. Up goes a crowd to the canteen for a feed, and then you sec a crowd of money-grab-bing individuals waiting to ilecce the hungry Territorials. This is how it goes: Tea, coffee, or cocoa, and one slice of cake at Is; tea, etc., unit pie, !.s; bottle of ginger pop, (id; all other drinks (id. As for tinned fruits, you want to be a walking bank to shell out for it. 1 nearly forgot to mention about the lea and sandwich; they are another Is, all returns extra. In the gooil old volunteer days the Defence Department ran the canteens, both wet and dry. and there was no rumpus at all of a night around the stores, as is the case now, and I venture to sav if the prices are not reasonable this year, over goes the whole caboosh. canteen, men and all, and a free scrap will be the order.
