REMARKS BY MINISTER OF EDUCATION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington. Last Night. Hon. James Allei, Minister for Education, addressed a gathering of women' teachers who are undergoing a course of instruction in physical training. He said he looked forward to the time when great improvement would lie seen in the physical condition of boys and girls at the schools, as well as of the teachers. The scheme Was capable of improvement, and it would he part of the director's duty to see that New Zealand did not lag behind. The Minister hoped the teachers would help to make the scheme the means of securing an improvement morally an.l physically in the schools. He hoped also that ailments such as adenoids and curvature of the spine would yield to carefully conducted physical exercises.
