For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Teneriffe and South America, via Monte Video, at G. 15 a.m. (Correspondence for United Kingdom and Continent of Europe must be specially addressed). Due London May 21. For Australian States, Soutli Africa, Cevlou, India, China, Straits Settlements, East Indies, Eastern and Mediterranean ports, United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, at 12.20 p.m. (Correspondence for United Kingdom and Continent of Europe must be specially addressed "via Suez"). The s.s. Maunganui will leave Wellington for Sydney oil Thursday, tlic 9th April, instead of oil the following day, Good Friday. The Australian mails will consequently close here on Wednesday the Bth inst., one day earlier than usual.
Unless otherwise specified, money orders and registered letters close one hour, and parcel post parcels thirty minutes, before the ordinary mail.
EASTJiII HOLIDAYS. The l'ost Office will observe thc iiiHk*:'mentioned holidays:— Good Friday, April 10, will be observed as a Sunday. Easter Monday, April l;S. —The Post Office will be open to the public in all branches, except money-order and savings, bank, from I) a.m. to 10 a.m. only. Clearances. —On the evenings of Thursday, the 9th, and Saturday, the lllh. April, all receivers and posting boxes will be cleared.
Mails. —Mails usually despatched on Fridays will bo closed on Thursday night, April flih, at 8 p.m. On Monday, April 13th, the usual despatch of mails up to 8 a.m. will be made, (the Opunake coach mails will close at 8 a.m.) Receivers and posting boxes will be cleared accordingly. Letter-carriers' deliveries.—On Master Monday no delivery by carrier will be made. On Thursday, tin: !>th, full deliveries will be made as on other week-daks On Thursday, the Oth, anil Saturday, the 11th, there will lie a delivery of town letters (registered as well as ordinary) from 8 p.m. to 0 p.m., over the counter.
