The Senate Inter-Ocean Canal Committee has decided to give a fortnight to hearing the pros and cons on the Panama toll measure. The Senate meanwhile is likely to depute numerous Bills, ranging from a total rejection *nd repeal Bill to allowing the President to exercise his veto whenever thought, desirable in the country's interests. The United States lias signed a treaty with Columbia, permanently settling tfie Panama controversy.
