The recurrence of cancer in the same blocks of buildings is generally attributed to coincidence, but a more thorough investigation is urged. The cage of a cancerous mouse was placed in a laboratory without hcaing cleansed,and « the mice introduced contracted the disease. After washing the cage the taint r. remained, and frequent disinfections 1 were required Io remove it.
