DUNEDIN MEDICAL SCHOOL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Saturday. Representatives of the University Council waited on the Hon. E. Heaton Rhodes, seeking the support of the Government for a medical school. 1 An extra piece of ground is required for a three-storeyed extension. Auckland, Friday. At the Police Court this morning J l l ciierick Schlajch, aged 42, an indent agent, wag charged that about December £lllO 4s Id on terms requiring him to pay or account for it to Hughes and Cosser, and that he fradulently omitted to pay or account for tile same. Accused, it was stated, managed Hughes and dosser's Wellington brunch, and then came to work for the firm in Auckland, where contracts for supplying Government Departments with good were made out in his name because he was known to the Government odicials concerned. In this case it was alleged that the accused made a contract to supply goods to the value of ;C{)o, delivery to be made by the linn oii'December 10.
