"A MESSAGE FROM MARS."
The Empire Theatre will present wiiat should prove a particularly strong drawing card, ''A Message from Mars." in 4500 feet of motion pictures. The film claims the distinction of being unique in its way, as it is a reproduction of a performance given by the English company 'headed by the eminent London actor, Mr. Charles Ilawtrey, which first made the fine old play famous, and which has remained in their repertoire for years. The reproduction is described as an admirable one in every way. As most playgoers, through familiarly with the piece as presented here on various occasions, are aware, "A Message from Mars" teaches a great Jesson on the evils of selfishness, and points a strong moral. The somewhat weird appearance of the "Messenger," wdio, driven out of the planet Mars for selfishness, is said to be vividly produced in the film, as also arc the vision effects representing Horace Parker's dream.
