The Salvation Army's new maternitv liomc in Kensington Street was formally opened by the Mayor this afternoon. Commissioner Richards described the work of tile Army in connection, with fallen women, and said this home was intended to help women to rehabilitate themselves as useful members of society after their lapse. Dr. Platts Mills and Dr. A. K. Newman, M.l'., also ..'..oke, congratulating the Array on the it is doinjr. To-morrow the Booth Memorial Training College, just completed t.i a cost of £IO,OOO, will be opened.
