THE PREMIER'S TOUR. ' Fairlic, Last Night. The Prime Minister arrived at Timaru thin afternoon, and was accorded a reception by the Mayor. After lunch, the Premier left Timaru for Fairlic, where the Mackenzie County Council entertained him at dineur. The health of the Government and the Prime Minister was prosed and enthusiastically responded to. In proposing the health of "The Local Bodies/' Mr. Masscy acknowledge* the great good that public bodies did in the country, and he thought some recognition should be made of the long service rendered by individual members. A large meeting was afterwards held in the public hall, when the Premier was accorded an attentive hearing. He took his pledges given by himself in his Wellington Town Hall snecoh, showing that in practically all instances the party's pledges had been carried out, and where these had not already been fulfilled it was not the party's fault. These matters would have attention next session. A motion of thanks and confidence was carried by an overwhelming majority, a Red Fed. amendment being howled down. SIR JOSEPH WARD.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Nelson, Last Night. Sir Joseph Ward arrived in Nelson to-day, and proceeded to Tataka. He will deliver addresses at country centres, concluding with a speech in the city on Friday evening.
