THE ROUTE SATISFIES ELTHAM. By Telegraph—Press Association. Eltham, Yesterday. A combined meeting of the local Chamber of Commerce and the ElthamOpunake Railway League this morning passed the following resolutisns:— "That this combined meeting expresses approval of the action of the (lovernment in finally fixing the route of tho Elthani-Opunake railway, and is of opinion that the route is in the best, interests of tlie whole district and feels assured that the work of construction will bo pushed on with all expedition."

Also "That this combined meeting congratulates tlie Opiinake Railway League o« the final fixing of the route by tlie Government, and desires to express readiness to co-operate in any function in connection with the turning of the first sod at Opunake."
