.CHARGE OF ATTEMPTED MURDER. By Tejegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. George Havelock Green, oil rtmand, was charged in the Police Court this morning with, an the 22nd inst., at Sawyers Kay, attempting to commit murder by discharging, a revolver at> his wife Eleanor Maud Green. Chief-Detective Herbert asked for a remand for days. He did not anticipate going~on with the case then, as the woman wa,s not likely to be able to leave the hospital for some time. Mr. Irwin, for ;>ceused, offered no objection to a remand. He understood that Mrs. Green's jaw was broken, and that had only been discovered since the accused waa last'before the Court. Accused was remanded until Wednesday week.
