The railway companies have appointed ii committee to meet a committee from the National Union of Railwaymen's Executive to discuss employment conditions. Mr. Thomas, Labor member of Parliament, speaking at a meeting at Birmingham, said this was the first definite recognition of the union's power and responsibility. The companies' invitation will be accepted.
