POLITICAL.
MR. ROBERTSON AS CRITIC. By Telegraph—Press Association. Levin, Saturday. Mr. Robertson, M.P. for Otaki electorate, addressed a crowded meeting at Levin on Friday night. He strongly condemned the Massey Government for their supineness in the early stages o? the watersiders' strike and their failure to carry out their promises jo reduce taxation. The taxation in New Zealand was now grottier per head than ever before and the Massey Government stood up a hideous failure before the eyes of the whole country. A vote of thanks and confidence was carried, an amendment of thanks only being outvoted.
