The batsmen gave a very bright exhibition. Centuries were scored by Dolling and Waddy, and Trumpcr played a lively innings of 81. Crawford hit hard at everything, and was unbeaten with over 60 rune to his credit, when stumps were drawn. Hew Zealand were unfortunate in losing Bennett, who hurt his hand badlv before lunch, and took no further mart in the game.
During tho luncheon adjournment the visitors made many complimentary references to the work of Mr F. C. Raphael, secretary of the New Zealand Council, and the hospitable manner in which he had treated them. Mr* Raphael was presented with a rose howl, engraved with the signatures of the whole team.
