THE ANTARCTIC.
THE SHACKLETON EXPEDITION. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received 2!), 5.5 p.m. London, March 2S. Reuter's Christiana correspondent telegraphs that Sir Ernest Shackleton has bought the Polaris, as a flagship. A recent cable stated that Sir Ernest Shackleton had decided to purchase the recently-built Norwegian ice-vessel Polaris, to be converted to use oil fuel and renamed the Endurance, and employed under Davis' command in the Weddell Sea.
