In making this request we are actuated by the knowledge of your long experience in municipal affairs, eight years as councillor, and two and a half years as Mayor of the Borough. buring the long period of your municipal life you have amply demonstrated your keen desire for the progress and advancement of the Borough, and you have been most unswerving in your devotion to the best interests of the town and district. You have been intimately associated with almost every progressive men-"re initia-• ted in the Council for many ears past. Your efforts as chairman of the Electric liight Committee did much to place that department on the sound financial footing it now enjoys. It was ako due to the energy and patience which you displayed that the drearer Mcny Plymouth scheme, initiated by tin- late Mr. Tisch, was completed within such a short space of time. In prompting Hie recent loans for the improv ment of the streets, the extension of (he waterworks, and the installation if tramways you have, shown your fan ill in the future of the town -and your desire for its progress.
