"The Intruder," in which the popular Maurice Costello appears in the leading role, and a Keystone comedy, "The Speed King," introducing., amidst a tumult of hilarious merriment, a thrilling motor race. Patrons are advised that this programme is an exceptionally attractive selection, but owing to other big star attractions coming, this series will be shown this afternoon and tonight only. •■' KINtl OP THE AIR."

The time is drawing near tor presentation of "The King of the Air,' one of the most wonderful moving-pictures of modern times, to be screened at the Empire Picture Theatre next Monday night. The film is 0000 ft long, and played by the most celebrated artists in France, and illustrates the triumph of aviation in a way th~t is as extraordinary as it is absolutely faitkful in every detail. Beautifully colored, the various scenes are replete with interest, and the race for the Aviation Derby (the gold cup of the Aviation Club of Paris), from Paris to Holland and back, ending with twice, circling the. Tour Eiffel, is a masterpiece of realism. In addition to aviation scenes, there are also other very notable scenes, one of which depicts a brilliant fete at a banker's house, and it is interesting to note the mueh-raved-after tango dance is performed. This dance has captured England by storm, and as the tango has- not been witnessed ! in New Plymouth, natrons will have an opportunity of seeing wherein lies its fascination. Although this picture has been an expensive one for the. management to procure, prices of admission will remain the same, and to stive pointment in not securing admission, it will be advisable to book your scats early at Hoffmann's, as only a limited season of three nights is available.
