STEAMSHIP COMPANY FINED
I (AX ECHO OF THE STRIKE. By Telegraph.—Press Association, Auckland, Last Night. At the Police Court to-day, the Northern Steamship Co. was charged with carrying 250 passengers in excess of the number authorised. The offence occurred during the strike troubles. Defendants were fined ,C2 on each of sixteen informations, in addition to the fine provided by the Act of live shillings pe> head for every passenger carried iu excess*.
