ENORMOUS DAMAGE IN THE COUNTRY. MINES FLOODED. By Cable—Press Association-—Copyright Received 28, 12.45 a.m. Sydney, March 25. Reports from the country districts regarding the storm show that enormous damage was caused to property and stock. Over 20 inches of rain fell on the South Coast. One place recorded twelve inches for twelve hours. Several mines at Wollongong lad to be closed, aB they were too flooded to work, and thousands are idle.
