THREE KINGS AGAIN.
MASTER MARINERS' MEETING. By Telegraph.—Press A-sooiation. Auckland, March 23. A meeting of twenty shipmasters discussed thi! lion. Mr. Fisher's proposal for a wireless compass on The Three Kings. It was unanimously decided "That a first-class light and fog signal on the summit of Big King is the only satisfactory and acceptable scheme of marking the dangers of The Three Kings, and that this meeting calls on the Minister of Marine to fulfil liis promise given to its representatives to light The Three Kings." Speaking at the meeting, Captain Ross (chairman) said that, as far as ho was concerned:, this would he the last : meeting called to consider the ncgotiaI tions with the Minister of .Marine. Mr. | Fisher's remarks contained glaring mis- ■ statements, almost beyond conception, coming from a Minister of the Crown, I Mr. Fisher had received the joint opinion of 2!>o master mariners indicating where the light should be put. In face of thai lie now stated that the position for the light had never been pointed out to him by those interested. The Minister, as an honorable man, should withdraw that statement he had made.
