Petersen, Mcllregor, lirough and others, to whom he was conceding fair handicaps. The result was Rhewry first, and F. Tayne second. Stepping the rip in. always a popular event, had a large entry, the veteran sport, Mr. John Sheehy, being the winner. The Old Man's Race was won by Mr. Shaw, :jnd the Married Ladies' Race by Mrs. M'Gregor. A dance in the evening concluded a successful day's outing. Amongst the visitors was Mr. W. T. Jennings, who took part in some of the events.
