»r t j.- „ Napier, Yestcrdav. Mr. Justice Edwards to-day heard" argument by. counsel in the Deck-Rcid slander" suit for a new trial. The judge described the verdict (giving Deck £l5O damages) as illogical and inconsistent. He reserved his decision on the question of non-suiting plaintiff, but said if he did not grant that he would certainly order a new trial.
