A CHARGE OF THEFT.
LARGE SUM INVOLVED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland. Last Night. An indent agent, named Frederick Schlaich, was arrested to-day upon a charge that about December 19, 1913, he did commit theft, having received the sum of £6lO 4s on terms requiring him to account for or pay it to Messrs. Hughes «nd Cosser, indent agents, of Auckland, and that he fraudulentlv omitted to account for or pay it. At the time of the alleged offence the accused was in the employ of Messrs. Hughes and Cosser, but since Christmas ha has been carrying on a business of his own.
