GOLF.

THE TARAHUA CLUB. The annual meeting of the Tarahna Club, which was held last night, was well attended. The chair, in the absence of the president (Mr T. C.'List), was occupied by Mr W. Broome till the arrival of the vice-president, Mr 0. Grey. ( ANNUAL REPORT. The annual report stated that the club had passed through a very successful season financially. The members [ had shown keen ' interest in the competitions; which were very numerous, owing to the ?enero.-ity of several of the members. The championship was won bv G. Chong. who was to be Complimented on his performance. E, P. Loftus was runner-U". As several of the. club's lady members were showin" great improvement, it was to be hored that the club would join the Ladies' Golf Union, so that the ladies would be on a footing with other ladies' clubs in the Dominion. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £l9 10s 3d on the year's working. The chairman, in speaking to tlie report, suggested that the club. should encourage more outside matches this season, also that a club tournament should be held during the Easter holidays. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. President, Mr G. Grey; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. T. 0. List'and R. Cock; club captain, Mr G. Grey; secretar-. Mr W. Douglas: treasurer, Mr G. Carter; auditor, Mr E. Coolco; committc, Messrs. E. Avery, N. Perry, J. Montgomery, and W. Berridge. The opening dav was fixed for Saturday. April 4. The secretary of the Hamilton Golf Chib wrote extending an invitation to the club members to play on thtir course during the Easter holidays. Eight new members were proposed. A vote of thanks t;) the Press l concluded the meeting.
