WOOL, HIDE, SHEEPSKIN AND TALLOW. SALES. L. A. NOLAN & CO.'S REPORT. We held our usual four-weekly sale of the above in our Gill street store on March 10. We submitted a rather large catalogue of hides and skins and a few lines of bale wool and a fair representation of bag lines. Hides—All round a sharp rise was noticeable, competition being keen. Ox were present only in small lines, and there were no superior lines. Cow were well represented as usual, and all lines advanced sharply by fully y 2 d per lb. Sheepskinsi-We offered a few good shipping lines of dry skins, and these, in sympathy with the recent rise in wool, advanced considerably, practically V 2 d per lb being the average. We sold. one line of full-wool skins at 9d*per lb, a Tecord, we believe, for the North Island. Best lambs realised up to BVi>d. Wool —A sharp rise was in evidence in sympathy with recent sales in London, particularly rough bush fleece, which sold at' a little better than y 2 d oyer last uionth's rates.
