""-• Naturally milk Supplies are now failing off rather rapidly, owing to the fact that winds have been unfavorable, being very hot and drying, but in com parison with laat year there is a decided increase. Turnip crops on the whole are very fair, rape has been good, bu'. maize rather late to give the usual fiiiip to supplies during February and March. However, on, the whole, farmers have not a great deal to complain of, The price of weaner calves is not up to expectations, this probably being due to-the fact that the farmer wishes to quit before feed gets too scarce, and buyers are not anxious to take the risk of a shortage after purchase. There should be a good proposition in calves for anyone having nice young feed to do them with from now on.
