The 75yds Flying resulted, "Batten" (lnvercargill) 1; Aitken 2; Earle !!; Jamieson 4. IXGLEWOOD SPORTS. TO-DAY'S CATHERINE. The annual sports gathering under the auspices of the Inglewood Athletic Club will be held to-day, and, given line weather, will doubtless draw the usual large attendance. The Inglewood Club is one of the few remaining of lb' scores of athletic clubs which cateiv 1 for pedestrians and cyclists in Tanuitil.i a few years ago, and the fact thai lii" entries in all events are large, is in .itself a tribute to the past management of the gathering. Chopping, sawing, cycling and running events are scheduled, and everything points to .a good day's | sport. Visitors leaving Xew Plymouth ]by the 12.50 train will be in time to j witness many of the principal events on the- pf ogramme.
