A supplementary wool sale was held this afternoon, when 1714 balea were offered. There was a. renrcsentatjve gathering of buyers, and good competition resulted, there being a good demand throughout. Continental buyers took practically all the seedy wool, while the local mills competed well for all descriptions of pieces and locks. Yorkshire buyers secured the best of the croasbreds, and the opinion was expressed that several buyers must have had American orders as 10% d was realised for six bale 3 of verv nice crossbred wool. Merinos were inclined to be a little slacker, but were in good demand. Beat prices were:— Halfbred, to 12-y,d; fine crossbred, to lWd; crossbred, to 10% d; 3uper crossbred, t0,12%d; kmns' wool, to liy 2 d; thrceouarter-l>red. to lidj merino, to lid; merino super, to 13d; first pieces, to 9%d : looks, to eV»n.
