PICTURES IN THE HOME.
A NEW INVENTION. The science of moving pictures lias made great strides of late, but none go great as the very latest, the introduction of the motion-picture into the home and. more important still, into the schools. ThU has been made "ossiblby Mr Thomas Edison, the nioneor of the motion-picture, and the invention which embodies it is the Edison Home Kinetoscope, on sale by the Red Post Furnishing Company, Ltd. A demonstration was "ivcn by the New Zealand representative of the Edison Company to a number of nrnminent New Plymouth peool" last night, including members of the High School Hoard and several school teachers. The plant is' no tov. It is a complete moving-picture ' machine, suitable for both stereoscopic views and the. latest in dramas or industn'al films. The demonstration last night fullv m-oved this. The current can -be obtained from the ordinary electric light service in the home. The films are non-inflammable. They can be. exchanged at a nominal charge, and the cost of the whole plant is well within the reach of all schools and clubs and most individuals. As an entertainer it is delin-ntful ami as an educator it should be invaluable. Mr. TTayden. of the Red Post Company, is sole agent for-'he machine, and it is worth anyone's time to inspect it.
