WELLINGTON CRIMINAL SESSIONS. Wellington, Last Night. At the Supreme Court, Samuel Ford was sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment on each of tv, o charges o' forgerv. Richard Carpenter anc'. Davis Conway Burn, who had admitted various charges of burglary at Napier, put in statements. Carpenter" said ho had been in ill-health, and, being unable to work, had resorted to theft to get food for his family. Counsel said that Burn was led by Carpenter. Cirpenter was . sentenced to two years' imprisonment, eoncurrent with the term he is now serving, and Burn is to come up for sentence when called upon.
