A DEPRAVED TASTE.
• ' ~ WOMEN'S FASHIONS AND FROLICS. UNDER THE PULPIT LASH. By Cabje—Press Association—Copyright Received 16, 9.40 p.m. Adelaide, Marc h!6. The Rev. Evans, in a sermon, severely criticised the popularity of the tango, dances and corset parades, The tango, he said, was the latest heresy, and its dancing voluptuous, sensuous, amorous, and familiar. There seemed to be a, taste for amusements spiced with indecency, and for women to'be garbed in scanty costumes of stupid vulgarity. The whole femininist movement was a sign of the times. Morality, he said, was declining. The popularity of the tango was! one of the disquieting symptoms, and the parade was an insult to the people of Adelaide.
