REPORT BY FABIAN COMMITTEE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright London, March 15. A Fabian Research Committee, after careful investigation of the working' of the Insurance Act, reports that there is reason to fear that practically all the societies having a large proportion of women have exceeded the estimates of sick benefits from 25 to 100 per cent. It believes that the 1 first year's claims will exceed the actuaries' estimates by nearly £1,000,000. The gravest feature js that miljions of families below the £l«a week level are practically always ill. ]i The Act extracts a loaf of bread weekly from a bare cupboard, starving them,further into illness. . i /. . i
