RIFLE-SHOOTING.
GREAT BRITAIN AND lIER DOMINIONS. THE PROPOSED AUSTRALIAN TEAM By Cable —Press Association—Copyright London, March 15. At the National Rifle Association meeting, Fletcher, a director of Dalgety's, winner of the King's silver medal in 1908, proposed a closer association of the Mother Country and He overseas dominions by giving the latter icpresentation on the Council. He suggested that the High Commissioner should be a vice-president, and the Agents-General honorary members. Decision was postponed. The King has donated £6O toward* the expenses of the English team to Australia.
Mr. Barlow Somers, interviewed, said that over fifty cracks has applied, and these had been reduced to seventeen, who would shoot in the tests at Whitsuntide before the twelve were finally selected. Of these, only Amundsen, Fulton and Parncll were in the last Australian team. Somers asserts that it is useless to send any but the best shots. The team sails on August 10.
