A LARKIN PROCESSION
IN CONTACT WITH THE POLICE, By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received 14, 2.45 p.m. London, Jiarch 13. .White, armed with a blackthorn, headed the. procession of Larkinites armed with staves. They demanded from the Lord Mayor work for the unemployed. White was ordered by the police to clear the road, and a serious conflict ensued. The police dispersed the procession, their batons injuring several, t Three had to be sent to hospital. White was injured in the face, and was arrested. Received 15, 5.5 p.m. London, March i 4. White was bailed out. He was charged with assaulting an inspector, sergeant, two constables, and a mailvan driver. The inspector states 7 that he was struck on the back of the head ny a blunt instrument while arresting White. Meanwhile,, tho. latter struck him with the blackthorn on the chest, and violently resisted arrest.
