During their visit to New Plymouth they were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Eundle. Mrs. and Mr. John Glenn (nee Miss W. Parsons), who have been on a six weeks' visit to Australia, have returned to New Plymouth. Miss Goldwater left last night by the s.s. Earawa on a visit to Auckland. Dr. White, son of the late Mrs. T. White, who has been on visit to New Plymouth, has left for Sydney. Mrs. Birch-Johnston has returned after | a short visit to Auckland. Mr. E. P. Fcnton, who has been spending his summer vocation in New Plymouth, has returned to Masterton. Mrs. Glover, of Dunedin, is on a visit to New Plymouth. Mrs. Sydney Allen is at present staying at the Mountain House. Mrs. Lawrence, of Wellington, .is the (guest of her sister, Mrs. 11. Collier, Xe>v I Plymouth. j On the New Plymouth bowling green I during the hist week or so matches hav! ben played between Auckland and New I Plymouth. Webster gave an enjoyable afternoon tea in honor of her daughter, Mrs. Far- ! ley, who is at present visiting New Plyj mouth, the hostess receiving her guests in a black silk robe, trimmed with lace ' and beaded trimming.
