WAREA. (From Our Own Correspondent). The Sports Club Ball was held in the' hall on Wednesday evening, and was one of the most successful yet held. The music by Mr. Van Heck's orchestra no doubt contributed to a largo extent to the success of the ball. Sixty couples occupied the floor, this number being nearly a record, for Warea. During the (evening extras were played by Misses B. Aylward, F. Corbctt, D. Andrews and Mr. E. Barrett. The duties of M.C. were in the capable hands of Mr. J. Clarke, assisted by Mr. R. Julian. The supper arrangements, which the gentlemen's committee attended to, left nothing to be desired. There was no occasion for the ladies to leave the ballroom to supervise supper arrangements, and needless to say they much appreciated this. Mr. A. E. Magon has just purchased a fine new Studebaker motor car, which he has housed in an up-to-date garage on the Wareu road.
