INCREASED COST OF UPKEEP. AVIATION "EATS UP MONEY." Times-Svdney Sun Special Services. Received 12, 5.20 p.m. London, March 12. Colonel Seely, explaining the Army Estimate*, said the cost of living had increased in all directions. This applied to the armies of the world, livery army now had its aviation services. ' The cost of all armies was bound to i increase. Aircraft were expensive, but ' a thing that tho army had to procure. 1 The Minister of War of a great neighboring Power had recently said to 1 him, "Beware of aviation. It eats u;> ' money!"
