Two men to pick up 50ft of hose and hydrant, run 25 yard* to plug, fix hydraut, and connect 50ft of hose to hydrant, run out and fix branch, and strike disc. ' 27. ONE-MAN GILBERD MEMORIAL EVENT.-Firut prize, Gold Medal. Second, Silver Medal. One man f> run 25 yards to plug, slip hydrant, connect two 50ft lengths of hose >to each delivery of hydrant, connect two 50ft 'engths of hose to the fitst two 50ft lengths, fix branches, and finish four yards in front. Nominations for Fire Brigade Events close with the Secretary of the Waitara Fire Brigade on SATURDAY, February 28, ato p.m. Entrance Fee, fid per man, closes on the ground at noon on the day. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Sports commence at 11 a.m. The committer hold the right to postpone or alter programme. All Nominations close with the. Secretary on SATURDAY, February 28th 1014. All Handicaps will be declared in the Taranaki Daily News and Waitara Evening Mail. The Committee reserves the right to re-handicap any competitor. All events run under the N.Z. Athlctie Union and N.Z. Axemen's Association. All competitors must be registered, and this Rule will be strictly enforced. Nominations for Events 3, 5, 8, 11, 12, 14, 15 and 10 mußt be made in writing, and accompanied by necessary fees and definite particulars of last two years* performances. If no performances in that time, the last four, or any, to be given. Five competitors must start, or no second arid third prizes given. All Acceptances must be "in the hands of the Secretary on or before 11 ajn. on day of Sports. In the Double-handed Sawing Events name of mate must be given, otherwise nomination will not be accepted. All protests must be in the hands of the Secretary, in writing, not later than a quarter of an hour from the finish of the event in dispute. Protests must be accompanied by a deposit of 10s. A flag will be hoisted giving the number of each event to start. A gun will be fired three minutes before the start of each race, and the race will start punctually upon the eipiry of such x hree minutes. Refreshment Booths on the Ground.
