FURTHER BUSINESS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Tuesday. The linancial statement of tile Children's Fund was discussed. A reduction of '/a per cent, on circuit levie.s for the fund was agreed to so as to meet the requirements of the Contingent Fund. A levy of G'/ 2 per cent, was made, this being a reduction of 1 per cent, on the previous yoar'H levy. The formation of the Young Worshippers' League waß commended to all circuits. It was decided to establish connexional young people's societies, to be known as the Wesley Guild. Arrangements were sanctioned in connection with the proposed visit to New Zealand of Mr. F. Freeman, a notert Sunday School teacher in England. Arrangements were made for the nomination of chaplains to defence force*, and the senior chaplains in each district Were authorised to promote a conference with the Minister of Defence relating to the Chaplain Department. Naval chaplains were appointed for the principal ports of the Dominion. The question ol increasing stipends was referred to the Home Mission Executive for favorable consideration and report. It was decided to celebrate the centenary of the introduction of Christian effort to New Zealand by the Rev. Samuel Marsden. The Sunday before Christmas Dav will be observed as Orphanage Sunday. The conference in 191,5 will be held in Wellington. Committees were net up to urrmijye for meeting Methodist immigrants at the chief ports of entry into the Dominion. Rev. C. G. K. Smith was appointed, chief immigration officer for the Dominion. It was decided to arrange for suitably commemorating the centenary of peace between Britain and America. A committee was set up to report on the >"e Temere decree. A bequest of £IOO, less death duly, left by Mr. H. Sanson to the Local Preachers' Association, was notified.
