FIGHT WITH KNIVES. By Telegraph.—Press Aasociation. Gisbonie, Tuesibv. A serious altercation ocurred in Aberdeen road last evening, when, as the result of a neighbors' quarel, two men named Johanson and Bricknell ended a heated argument in a sensational manner. It is alleged that Johanson attacked Bricknell with a knife and slashed him somewhat severely about the face, besides inllicting a number of wounds about the body. PUNISHED FOR INDECENCY. Christchurch, Tuesday, l'rank Morton, a garage employee, was sentenced at the Supreme Court yesterday to four years' reformative treatment in respect of acts of indecency to which he pleaded guiltv. A NAVAL FUNERAL. Christchurch, Tuesday. Archibald Thompson, late ward-room cook on H.M.S. Psyche, who died at the Christchurch Hospital on Saturday from pneumonia, was buried in the Sydenham cemetery yesterday with full naval honors. DISOUDKRLY TERRITORIALS. Auckland, Y'esterdav. The conclusion of. the parade of B Company, 3rd Regiment, at U,o Drill Hall last night was marked bv a disorderly demonstration on the'part of a large section of the corps. Exception had been taken to the methods of one of the stall officers in dealing with the lax conduct of a number of men. Several were slow to carry out the movements ordered. As the company was being dismissed someone started to count out, and a strong chorus took' up the chant. This was followed by vigorous hooting. The men left th'.. parade-ground in noisy disorder. The occurrence will no doubt form the subject of inquiry.
